Q)Will Lawn 3 Really Cost Me Less Than DIY, and Why?
Answer…
Yes! Our fertilisers are slow-release and last for up to three months. This is twice as long as off-the-shelf products. We also apply the right products on your lawn at the right time of year, meaning zero waste. Not only does it cost less, but it requires far less effort than DIY.
Q) What’s the Difference between Lawn 3 Products and Garden Centre Products?
Answer…
Garden centre products are diluted so that no professional qualifications are required to buy or apply them. But this also means that they can be less effective when applied to your lawn. As well, many of these products are a mixture of lawn food, moss killer, greener and weed killer, which also compromises their effectiveness.
As well, garden centre products are designed to give a flush of growth so that you see visible results sooner. Unfortunately, much of the solution is too strong to be absorbed by your lawn and simply washes away. All of the operators at Lawn 3 are NPTC qualified, able to purchase and apply professional-strength fertilisers and weed killers to your lawn.
All of the products Lawn 3 applies are slow release, which allows a carefully regulated release of nutrients into the soil for a lawn that not only looks healthy on the surface, but really is healthy all the way from root to top.
Q) Will I Have to Wait Until Spring To Treat My Lawn?
Answer…
No. Our programme is designed to run throughout the year—there is never a bad time to start improving your lawn.
Q) Will Your Products Harm The Environment?
Answer…
Our programme is specifically designed to reduce the need for herbicides over a period of time. We aim to use products that are organic and safe for the environment.
Q) Are Your Products Safe For Children And Pets?
Answer…
Our treatments are safe for both children and pets. Only animals that graze on the grass need to be kept off of your lawn for 2 weeks after treatment, and this is only so that your grass can be allowed to grow and become stronger.
Q) How Soon Will I Be Able To See Results Following Fertiliser Treatment?
Answer…
Most customers start to see results within 7 to 10 days of the application.
Q) When Will I See My Weeds Begin To Die?
Answer…
Once applied, herbicides need time to work through from the leaf to the root. Your weeds should begin to wither within 3 weeks following treatment. However, because of the time it takes for the herbicide to work through, we advise you not to mow your lawn for 3 days before and 3 days after a treatment.
Weather conditions like unusual dryness, mowing too soon or heavy rain immediately of treatment can also have an impact on its effectiveness. If none of these conditions are present and the treatment doesn’t appear to be working, we encourage you to contact us.
Q) Are Your Operators Qualified To Treat My Lawn?
Answer…
Yes. Everyone who will be treating your lawn is a qualified Lawn 3 Green Keeper. Our training programmes are recognised as the most comprehensive in the lawn maintenance industry. We don’t employ temporary or unqualified staff to treat your lawn. You can ensure that all treatments will be carried out correctly at the appropriate time of year.
All our operators hold full PA1 & PA6 NPTC qualifications which certify them to purchase, prepare and calibrate professional herbicides and sprayers and to operate them to ensure correct application rates without risk to themselves, other people or the environment.
Q) How Much Do Your Treatments Cost?
Answer…
Our charges are based on the size of your lawn. Treatments start from just £17 per visit for lawns up to 100 square metres in size. Our core programme involves five visits, which would be a total cost of £85 per year.
Q) Will I Have To Sign A Contract?
Answer…
No. We simply invoice you each time we visit. You can cancel service at any time; just inform us prior to the next scheduled visit. Some of our customers prefer to pay by monthly Standing Order, but this is optional.
Q) What area do you cover?
Answer…
We cover Derbyshire, West Nottingham and East Staffordshire area. Please call us on 01332 523856, or visit our contact page to get in touch. You can also see the other areas Lawn 3 covers by clicking here.
